Savoy

The Savoy is a log that I started working on in 2015. The design mixes the templates of a Yater Spoon and the Jackie Baxter Model to make a pintail with plenty of hold but with a wider nose than the Vardeman Baxter template. The wide point is 2" behind center. Nose convcave is optional. The dimensions in the photo below are 10'0" x 17.5" x 22.5" x 14.5" x 3" taken from a modified US Blanks 10-2B Green. I am currently tweaking the template to incorporate a wider 18" nose.
